Question 1400: Wolverine...

The firm 'X' came in to being as subsidiary of a Swedish ball-bearing manufacturer 'SKF' in the 1920's.
It takes it's name from the latin word 'to roll' signifying the original ball bearing business. SKF registered the trademark with an intention of using it for a special series of ball bearing before incorporating it into an independent company.

'X' product are designed to withstand Sweden's rough terrain and cold temperatures. As of today it stands world's second largest in one of it's domain with extensive presence in Europe, America, Asia (specifically India) and Australia.

Interestingly few models from 'X' have become synonymous in India with words referring to ' the mythological tusker carrying Lord Indra' or even 'the mythical bird or bird-like creature depicting an eagle in Hindu mythology'.

X? Funda?
