Question 1355: In Glory Lies Pride

Poster of a 1978 Italian war-movie by Enzo Castellari. It was later released under the name '________ _________', a name that it closely shared with an unrelated though similar 2009 movie X.

The plot of the Italian movie is set in WWII France where a group of American soldiers while being taken to a military prison are hit by a German air attack. Most prisoners die though five surviving ones manage to escape. As they are planning their escape they end up in a mission to steal equipment of the Nazi V2 rocket. They are to sneak into a 'damned armored train' in German territory, make the hardware steal and bring it back to their French allies.

The movie was also alternatively issued as Hell's Heroes and Deadly Mission on Television.

Which movie? F.I.B. (and hence the movie X as well!)

Answer: The Italian movie is 'Quel maledetto treno blindato' or 'That damned armor train'. It was released in English in the US under the name 'Inglorious Bastards'.
The 2009 Tarantino movie X was named 'Inglourious Basterds' which uses incorrect spellings.

P.S. The title of the question made the answer pretty evident!
