Question 1314: And so we shall go to war

In The Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise, Sumbhajee Angria(in pic), one of the 9 Pirate Lords is portrayed as the Pirate Lord of the Indian Ocean and a Hindu Priest in a part of India, presumably Bombay. This fictional character was inspired by one of the most notable Maratha Navy Admirals who fought successfully against the British, Dutch and Portuguese naval interests in the Indian Ocean during the 18th century, and hence was alleged by them to be a pirate. Identify this Maratha Navy admiral.

Poor Kanhoji Angre, the Brits just won't leave him alone.

Haven't seen the PoC franchise, but fairly obvious who it was.
