Question 1082: I am France!


X may or may not have looked like this. Infact, X may or may not have existed. The legend says that in his days of service, he was severely wounded as much as 17 times. He is also said to have been presented the Sabre of Honour by Napoleon himself. X became particularly known through the play La Cocarde tricolore in which he says, 'Je suis Francais, je suis X'. (for those of you who dont know French, please use Google translator....or you could just see the title)

Y is a term, etymologically derived from X. It originally gave the idea of patriotism but the current meaning is more extreme.
