Posting after a long long overlay!!
( Obviously no points for guessing what this pic is about!)
The term "X" itself is derived from the word referring to the place _______ . Further throughout eastern Europe, there were numerous grassroots groups promoting the national resettlement of the Jews in what was termed their "ancestral homeland", as well as the revitalization and cultivation of Hebrew. These groups were collectively called the "Lovers of X." The first use of the term is attributed to the Austrian Nathan Birnbaum, founder of a nationalist Jewish students' movement Kadimah , who used the term in his journal Selbstemanzipation (Self Emancipation) .
Well what has 'X' got to do with the above Pic n why a nation like Iran is cribbing about it??
Answer: X is Zion, and Iran alleges that the logo, which to them spells out "ZION" ( I still can't figure out how) has a pro-Israeli agenda and threatened to pull out the Israeli athletes from the Olympics.

Ok... X is ZION Ok? So basically a bunch of Persians high on really good hash peered through a skewed telescope into London and read the logo(already controversial for causing epileptic seizures) as ZION instead of 2012(which is what the makers of the logo intended!). yeah so basically Iran is boycotting the Olympics logo coz they think its Zionist and racist. Killer Quuestion da.
