Question 988: Daddy Day Care

Which distinct feature, not seen in other marsupials, can be seen in the following marsupials?

1) earlier native to the Australian continent(now extinct):
2) found in Central & South America

Answer: The Tasmanian Tiger/Thylacine(1)and Water Opussum(2)are the only 2 marsupials in which both males and females have pouches.

Chironectes minimus -- water opossum.

both marsupials show the pouch.

The extinct animal is the Tasmanian Devil. The 2nd animal i dont know. Is it a gloucodon??
