"Live Scenes from X" is a live album by a certain American band. The album was recorded live in August 2000 in the city X. The album cover was based on an earlier album cover that depicted a heart in flames. As the live concert was held in the the city X, they changed the heart in flames to depict something else. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the band was forced to recall the album and re-release it with an alternate album cover.

Answer: The covert art depicted the skyline of New York, including the World Trade Center in flames and the album was co-incidentally released on 11th September, 2001 thus forcing the band to recall it.

  1. The city was New York, so the album had to be renamed as it was to be released soon after 9/11.

  4. DT's album, where X is New York, quite understandable from the apple...
    The cover shows WTC towers in flames, so had to be recalled....new cover hd th ubiquitous majesty symbol replacing the big apple in flames...

  5. 'Live Scenes from New York' Album was originally released on September 11, 2001, but when it was noticed that the cover artwork depicted the skyline of New York, including the twin towers of the World Trade Center, in flames, it was recalled and re-released a short time later.

  11. The original artwork of the album had scenes of the World Trade Centre in flames.Due to the Sept 2001 attacks,the band was forced to withdraw it and change the artwork.

  12. Live scenes from New York! It was released on 9/11 and incidentally showed the twin towers on fire...Since the album was recorded in New York, the logo was changed to a flaming apple (The Big Apple..)

    Hmmm... Why recalled ? I think it because it was depicting that twin tower in flames in the cover [WTC] - referring to the 9/11 :/ Not sure tho.
