    1 is Sheldon Leonard. 2 is Robert Hofstadter. 3 is Leon Cooper. Dr.Sheldon Cooper and Dr.Leonard Hofstadter are named after them. Especially the first names Sheldon and Leonard are derived from Sheldon Leonard, who serves as an inspiration as the writers have stated.
