X-Y was the founder of the Y Empire. X-Y succeeded in conquering most of the Indian subcontinent. Having defeated the Greek satrap in the Khyber mountains, X-Y was crowned King. As a result, X-Y is considered the first unifier of India and its first genuine emperor. In foreign Greek and Latin accounts, X is known as Sandrokyptos, Sandrokottos or Androcottus.
Z was born in Asia Minor (modern day Turkey) and became an ambassador of Syria to the court of Sandrocottus, who possibly is X-Y. However the exact date of his embassy is uncertain. Scholars place it before 288 BC, the date of X-Y's death.
