X is an educational program that was started in India by Y. Established in 2002, the program selects a certain number of meritorious and talented candidates each year from economically backward sections of society and trains them for the Z.
During his student days Y was selected for Cambridge University for higher education. But due to lack of money, he did not go there. Having witnessed extreme financial hardship since childhood, he felt the pangs of poverty so much that he decided to do something for the poor students, who invariably fade away without getting right opportunities. This led to the birth of X. In the last seven years, it has seen 182 out of 210 students from extremely economically poor background accepted in Z. During this program students are provided free tuition, board and lodge. Y was granted admission to Cambridge University, but could not attend for financial reasons.
